Title: Moon Memories
Pairing: Sesshoumaru/Rin
Rating: G
Squicks: I don't think there is. It's sorta ends with a love theme as well...
Summary: It's a poem about a memory and it's told by Rin. (Poems are allowed right?)
Moon Memories
I remember that one day
When you took me up and away
Through the clouds upon Ah-Un
And let me look upon the moon.
I tried to reach it with all my might
But everything kept me from that light.
No, not everything, but you.
You held onto me tightly
(You thought it knightly)
But I just wanted to be free
Just to sit there, just me.
Why did you hold me so?
Did you think that I would go?
I could never.
I remember coming back and yelling
At you to leave me alone, telling
You I need to be who I am.
The tears broke through the dam
And I ran to my room and
Left you to your land.
But you came back.
We didn't talk for a week.
Me, doing my work without a squeak,
And you aloof and not knowing,
Not understanding that I was growing.
Then we started talking to each other,
You saying I remind you of your mother.
One of the few compliments you gave me.
I look back and remember that time
And now I've made it my little rhyme.
It holds no significance because
It was just one of those times I was
Growing my emotions to say those
Words you never ever chose.
I love you.
